The Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies – learning english in Prague
The Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies, Charles University (ILPS CU) is a scientific-educational workplace and is one of the many parts of Charles University.
The course is offered to general public aged 18+. Participants come from all around the world with the aim to improve their English and get to know Prague and central Europe.
This General English course is intended for those whose English is at minimum A2 level (according to The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

The course takes place at the study centre Prague – Hostivar. There are 5 or 6 classes (each 45 minutes long) on normal working days. Students can choose to participate in a 3-week course and have up to 90 classes or to come for only a two-week course with 50 or 60 classes.
Based on their results in a placement test written at the very beginning of the course, participants will be placed in Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate or Upper-Intermediate groups.
